Acne Scars Cream Reviews Score:  99/100 (my favorite)

Update:  Dermajuv is now called Dermagist.  Nothing about the company or product changed, only the name.

The Dermajuv Acne Scar Fading Cream is by far the best solution that I have found for treating acne scars.  Unlike all the other “acne scars creams” on the market, the dermajuv-acne-scars-systemDermajuv product is made SPECIFICALLY FOR ACNE SCARS.   That means that they can worry only about the type of discoloration and scarring that is caused by acne.

I bought the cream on the Dermajuv.com website, which was easy to navigate, and they shipped me the product in less than 3 days.  I followed the very easy twice a day instructions that they gave me.   The cream is light and is totally non oily.  It rubs on and you really can feel it “healing” the acne scars right away.

My results were really dramatic on TWO Levels:

First: My acne scars had like a dark red or purple-ish color to them, that was SO noticeable.  It was almost like the color of a bruise, and I was dying for a product to make that go away.  The Dermajuv acne scar cream literally went to work in a matter of days, and the darkness of my scars starting to decrease.  It was if I had put makeup on them… that’s how awesome it worked!  My skin felt soothed, and healthy.  Also, I had NO new acne showing up as a result of applying the cream, like I suffered through with some of the other scar removal creams.   The Dermajuv people know what they’re doing when it comes to treating the discoloration of acne scars.  PLUS, there is no Kojic acid or Hydroquinone in it… which almost all the other acne scar creams have.  To me, that is important since both of those ingredients are suggested to cause cancer in some studies.

Second: My acne scars were both bumps and holes in my face.  Gosh, when I think back on it, I get so emotional..  I hated them so much.  At any rate, this part took a little more time to see the results, but MAN, did I finally get what I was looking for.  Not only did I get the discoloration go go away, but the scar texture itself improved so greatly, I couldn’t believe it.   I looked into the ingredients that this cream has, and found that Collaxyl is a big reason why the bumps and holes of the acne scar actually heal themselves.   There is no “Moisturize it and it’ll go away” type of thinking over at Dermajuv like all the other skin care companies.  They actually include serious, medical grade ingredients that force the skin to heal itself.    Hands down,  I believe that the Dermajuv Acne Scar Fading Cream is the best thing you can get if you’re suffering from acne scars.

My recommendation: Get it!  The price of this acne scar cream is pretty affordable in comparison to the other creams out there, plus it works a million times better.  It is the closest thing to getting surgery you can find.  Clearly a winner and will make you happier than any other thing out there.  Buy it or learn more at Dermajuv.com

Acne Scars Treatment Review Score:  65/100

I have always thought that the Murad brand was very high end and that it had quite a bit of scientific backing behind the products.  Perhaps there is, but I have to admit, I got very disappointing results from this acne scar fading gel.

Hydroquinone is the main ingredient in this spot lightening cream. Read the article for the warning on this.

First, as far as an acne scars treatment is concerned, this product is VERY 1-sided.  It only treats HALF THE PROBLEM with acne scars.. the discoloration.   A complete solution works on both the discoloration and the scar’s texture.  However, I figured that maybe this would work on my discoloration at the least.

Their website is very easy to use, and their reputation and commercials with Joan Lunden put me at ease as far as trusting them.  I have no complaints about the level of professionalism this company operates with.  Unfortunately, I can’t speak so highly of how well this particular product works.

I used it for about 4 weeks, and got zero results. My acne scars are like a dark red color.. almost like a bruise.   They still were the same after using this product.   I took advantage of Murad’s money back guarantee, and they honored it.  So, no harm, no foul…  Except for one kind of scary thing:

I have been researching the active ingredients in acne scars creams for a while.  Turns out that the active ingredient in this product is Hydroquinone.  Although there is apparently not an accepted scientific study on this, Hydroquinone has links to causing cancer in some studies.  I know it’s not totally proven, but if you google “Hydroquinone” you will see plenty of information and warnings about the cancer link.  The other thing I found is that Hydroquinone only works on preventing NEW discoloration, not on destroying already existing discoloration.  Since my problem was that I already HAD the dark marks, I guess that’s why it didn’t work for me.
